Pre - General Certificate of Secondary Education Programme

The Pre-GCSE is a preparation programme for the GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education - that allows students to qualify for entry into the Foundation or the A-Level programme). The Pre-GCSE course has been specifically designed for students who wish to join the 3-term GCSE course but who do not have the required IELTS level 5.0. Students who join this course are 14 or 15 years of age. Depending on the students' academic abilities, they are able to register in the pre-gcse from 1 to 3 terms. In most Pre-GCSE programmes, students receive up to 15 hours of English language studies to help improve their language skills and a further 15 hours of core subject classes including Mathematics, ICT (Information Computer Technology), Art, Science, Business Studies, PSHE and PE. Classes run for the whole day and students receive close supervision under the care of their personal tutors who monitor their social and academic progress. Students live on campus where they feel safe and supported by teachers and friends.

General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE)

The GCSE (General Certicate of Secondary Education) is an academic qualification, generally taken in a number of subjects by pupils in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. These examinations allow students to progress to the Foundation or A-Level programme. During the course of their studies at GCSE level, students study up to six GCSEs including English and Mathematics with four additional subjects they are free to choose. Students are able to choose one of the five pathway programmes: Business and Economics, Creative Arts, Humanities, Science and Engineering or Young Oxbridge. In addition to students' GCSE subjects, students are offered numerous opportunities to take part in various enrichment clubs and activities to develop their learning beyond the classroom.  CAESA MENA Student Agency is partner to over 50 boarding schools in the UK who offer various scholarship opportunities for their prospective international students.

Advanced Levels Programme (A Levels)

A Levels (Advanced Levels) are subject-based qualifications in UK schools. International students typically study three or four A Level subjects over two years.  A Levels are accepted by every university in the UK, and recognised worldwide. This means you have the opportunity to apply to universities and degrees that may not accept a foundation course. Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial College, UCL and most medical degrees, for example, all require A Levels.  Studying the A Level programme over two years allows international student sufficient time to adapt to the UK education system and serves as an excellent pre-university preparation opportunity. During this time, students get one-on-one time with with their personal tutor to discuss all of their university applications and are guided by them to maximise their chances of being accepted to their target universities.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

The International Baccalaureate Diploma, known as the IB, is a globally-recognised qualification that challenges, encourages and inspires students to become a creative problem-solvers and lifelong independent thinkers ready for university study and an international career. As IB Diploma Programme candidates, students develop : an excellent breadth and depth of knowledge, physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically, their language skills through the study of languages, their knowledge of traditional academic subjects, explore the nature of knowledge through the programme’s unique Theory of Knowledge course.
